Modern Finance(現代ファイナンス)
Modern Finance is a Japanese-language journal on finance research and investment published jointly by the Nippon Finance Association and the MPT Forum. The journal aims to contribute to developing finance and capital markets by stimulating research in this field in Japan through cooperation between academics and practitioners. The first issue was published in March 1997, and two have been published yearly. There has been remarkable progress in finance and investment research in recent years. New valuation models are being developed constantly, and there is a growing sophistication in the analysis of the financial behavior of individuals and companies, the elucidation of market structure, and the wide-ranging empirical analysis being carried out. Moreover, they are quickly applied to developing financial products and investment models. We believe that research into finance and securities should be further deepened. Furthermore, we hope the research results will be published and widely discussed, stimulating new research. We aim for Modern Finance to be a place where research, demonstration, and practice can be carried out through collaboration and competition between academics and practitioners.
International Review of Finance
The International Review of Finance is an English-language journal on finance jointly published by the Nippon Finance Association (NFA) and the Asian Finance Association (AsianFA). The success of the first joint international conference held with the AsianFA in 1998 led to a great deal of momentum for further developing joint activities between members and related parties, and in particular, the desire to create a journal that welcomes papers from finance researchers worldwide, not just in the Asia-Pacific region, but also in Europe. In response, the NFA and AsianFA held several review meetings, and the first issue of this journal was published in March 2000. In line with this, the NFA decided to dissolve its existing journal, the Japanese Journal of Financial Economics, in a developmental manner. The International Review of Finance aims to be a high-quality international journal that focuses on essential research themes related to the rapidly developing global capital markets and financial trends. To keep up with the cutting edge of global finance research, we have established offices in Japan, Hong Kong, the US, Australia, etc., and are accepting submissions. Participants and readers include researchers and leading practitioners from around the world, and the journal aims to publish the latest and most outstanding research results in finance theory, empirical research, and applications and to promote discussion and research exchange. Since its launch, the journal has been published four times a year with the cooperation of many global companies, including the publishers Wiley, the NFA, and AsianFA.
